A throwback to one of the original Last Best Cocktails using Savage Love and Saskatoon Berries.
GLASSWARE: Rocks with big cube
1.25oz Savage Love Gin
0.5oz 1:1 Saskatoon Berry Syrup
GARNISH: Fresh orange swath
1:1 Saskatoon Berry Syrup
Combine 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar in a saucepan. Add 1 cup frozen Saskatoons and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce to a simmer and cook just until the fruit begins to break down. Remove from the heat and allow the syrup to cool. Once fully cooled, strain out the fruit using a fine mesh strainer and store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
1. Measure and pour all ingredients in rocks glass
2. Add big ice cube
3. Stir with mixing spoon to serving level
4. Garnish with orange swath expressing oils into drink
